Stipend to celebrate a Mass

It is possible to have a Mass celebrated in your name or in the name of a loved one.

For us, Mass is without price. However, we welcome a voluntary contribution to support the needs of the priest and his community. All extra funds are given to the Church’s charitable endeavors.

Please note that when we receive too many requests to celebrate recited Masses, we sometimes offer them to missionaries working in other countries.

To celebrate a mass, write to:

Father Guy Hubert, o.s.b.
Abbaye Saint-Benoît
1, rue Principale
Saint-Benoît-du-Lac (Québec)
J0B 2M0

Please explain the purpose of the mass and give a possible date, and write the cheque to the order of “Abbaye Saint-Benoît”.

Celebration of a chanted and announced Mass: $15
Celebration of a recited Mass: $5
Celebration of 30 consecutive chanted and announced Masses : $500
Celebration of 30 consecutive unannounced Masses: $200
